Training

My training with McGraw -Hill Publishers, the University of Hawaii, and Bilinsky Consultants has allowed me to develop an effective method that balances three well-researched skills.

Easy to learn and quick to apply, Flip Your Facts skills complement and support each other in both personal and professional applications:

  • Step 1 : Includes the accurate identification of 60 universal shortcuts, and their cautions.  This skill alone allows you to immediately protect yourself from those risks and how to flip those automatic habits to your advantage. Very helpful in understanding clients, providers, colleagues, and the people who would like to influence your decisions daily, to their benefit.

 

  • Step 2: Begins with the immediate use of a reliable mental  “A-E Framework”, to consistently organize information, and to include other participants in collaboration opportunities with small groups. The Framework can also create an interactive communication 24/7 across silos, departments, and specialties. Low tech but very high engagement. Past users report that it is also effective as a family and community group decision-making tool.

 

Research from MIT has found that people who know how to use an efficient mental model earn, on average, an additional $10,000. a year in bonuses. Not including promotions.

But beyond the additional income, important benefits include the new skills to focus attention on both relevant details and broader framing. The ability to go from local to global focus … and to use new insights to create more and better-quality options. Having only one or two options is not really having any option at all. 

The benefits to companies and personal improvement are substantial, tangible, and measurable. CEOs reported making 67% better decisions when able to have 3 or more quality options to choose from. Because of the collaboration missing in remote-only workplaces, they felt their options and success had been severely limited.

Participants develop leadership skills to make more valuable contributions and provide more diverse original points-of-view. They are also able…without distractions… to identify the important information and nuances hidden in the constant flow of information. We learn how to sharpen our focus, in order to have the critical advantage for the challenges today. Multitasking is a costly and misleading shortcut… focus is the gold standard.

  • Step 3: The third and most customized step in Flip Your Facts training is the advanced skill of using your own Facts to Pre-view your future challenges. Change is coming rapidly, and the combined pressures of stress and uncertainly limit our options automatically. It’s one of the Brain’s protective shortcuts learned in step 1, and stress adversely impacts survival rates.

Whether you anticipate major changes happening in one year, five years, or twenty…before the need to make a rushed or unexpected decision…. the Pre-View allows participants to carefully consider their current facts and how a complete flip of these facts would impact them. This final skill includes practice with case studies, clarifying goals, responsibilities, and values. You will have created several written Frameworks to take back to your colleagues.

 This is not brainstorming. 

Flip Your Facts training provides the information, real-life examples, and opportunities to practice all steps. The training:

  •  usually takes 8 hours (ideally 4 hours over 2 days), 

  • is most productive with groups of 30-50 participants 

  • with a similar focus (i.e. parents, school administrators, entrepreneurs, corporate upskilling needs, online sales), 

  •  includes the opportunity to confidentially share your selected facts with a small group of participants. 

  • requires an NDA for highly specialized training sessions

  •  is an intense activity in a short period of time, but the benefits will be long-lasting.
